We will join GivingTuesdayLiberia on December 3, 2019 to serve Liberia on a grand scale.
This year, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, organizations in 60 countries around the world will celebrate GivingTuesday. For us, we will participate through GivingTuesdayLiberia and we are excited to impact the giving and service culture in Liberia in a major way as we did last year. In 2018, we decided to join a team of volunteers to cut the waist-level grass in the yard of JFK Hospital, Liberia’s biggest hospital. The project included fifty volunteers from four organizations, two Liberian Representatives, JFK leadership, and several community participants, including the outcast community’ residents called the “Zogoes” boys and girls. This year, GivingTuesdayLiberia goal is even bigger and we are excited to be part of it. This time, the project will be selected by the Liberian public using a simple polling process. The project with the most votes will become the project we undertake with hundreds of volunteers, students, political leaders, sponsors, etc… More details will be shared has it becomes available from the planning committee in Liberia. In the meantime, to participate, partner, or sponsor the program, visit GivingTuesdayLiberia’s website to contact their organizers.
